Classes or workshops missed on the part of the learner cannot be made up.
For private coaching sessions, 24 hours notice must be given by the learner to receive a refund or to re-schedule another session.
If the lesson time agreed upon previous to registration is problematic, please do not register.
Lessons cancelled on the part of the instructor will be made up at the convenience of the learner/parent.
The teacher will provide at least 24 hours notice if they need to cancel. A make-up session will be organized promptly.

Parent Inquiries
Please make any inquiries to the instructor during your own lesson or after the teaching day by phoning the studio number. Please remember that inquiries made after a scheduled lesson are done during another learner's instructional time and should be avoided.

Class Promptness
It is the responsibility of the learner to arrive on time for instruction. The instructor cannot accommodate a late arrival by instructing any longer that the scheduled lesson time. Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled lesson time.

Parents Attending Classes
Parents are not allowed to sit in on lessons because their presence in the room changes the learning environment and may negatively impact their child or other children's learning. Please note the following considerations:
The right to permit a viewer in a lesson remains with the instructor. A formal request must be made prior to admission to the studio space.
If parents are admitted to a lesson, they are asked to respect the lesson process by being as unobtrusive as possible.
Parent’s will be invited to an end of term showcase to see how their child has progressed.

Class Placements
Lesson spots are given on a first-come first-serve basis. We will do our best to accommodate your requested day.

There is ample free parking in the immediate area. Please obey parking signs.

The studio is equipped with a chairs and a male and female washroom. There is no water, so learner’s are strongly advised to bring water.

Food and Drink
Learner’s are strongly advised to bring water. No food is allowed in class as it upsets the learning environment.

There is no required dress code, however learner’s should avoid wearing clothes that significantly restrict movement (i.e. skinny jeans).

Statutory Holidays
Generally speaking, classes will not be conducted on statutory holidays, many of which occur on Mondays. Additionally, the spring break will happen in accordance with the Separate School Board calendar, usually running from Good Friday through the following week. It is impossible to accommodate private and public school breaks as they occur at different times. Please note this scheduling arrangement before registering.

Payment must be made in advance before the stated registration deadlines. Acceptable methods are: credit card or debit card (online through our website) or by cash or cheque in person.

Refusal of Services
The Art of Speech and Drama reserves the right to expel a learner if they are exceptionally and repetitively destructive to the learning process.

By agreeing to our terms of service, I understand and acknowledge that the class/workshop/seminar that I am participating in with the The Art of Speech and Drama (“TAOSAD”) may be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding and I fully understand and acknowledge that there are risks and dangers associated with participation in the class/workshop/seminar.

I hereby assume any and all risks associated with participation in the class/workshop/seminar, including, without limitation, the risk of physical or mental or emotional injury, minor or severe bodily harm, and/or illness, which arise by any means, including, without limitation, any and all acts, omissions, recommendations or advice given by TAOSAD or their agents, employees, or other persons or entities affiliated with TAOSAD and/or relating to or arising from my participation in the class/workshop/seminar.

I agree to exercise all necessary caution during the class/workshop/seminar. I also agree to inform TAOSAD of any significant aspects of my physical, mental, or emotional condition or medical history that might increase the risk to myself or others.

I hereby voluntarily and knowingly, release and discharge TAOSAD, its employees, agents, affiliates, directors, officers, insurers and assigns of and from all manner of claims, actions, losses, liability, costs, damages and lawsuits of any kind that I now have or may have in the future by reason of any matter, cause or thing related to or arising from my participation in the class/workshop/seminar.

By agreeing to our terms of service, I hereby authorize, consent and grant permission to TAOSAD and all of its employees, sub-contractors, affiliates, and agents to photograph, document, film, videotape and record my performance and/or participation in the class/workshop/seminar. I hereby grant to TAOSAD, and those acting with its authority and permission, the absolute right and permission to copyright and use, reuse, publish and republish photographic portraits, pictures, videos and/or sound recordings, or any part thereof, that may have been taken or made of me and I acknowledge that such material shall be the property of TAOSAD.

I waive my right to any and all royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of such material.

I have carefully read and considered this information and release and fully understand its contents. I am aware that I am releasing certain rights I may otherwise have and enter into this Release in consideration of being permitted to participate in the class/workshop/seminar.

I acknowledge that by submitting this form and/or agreeing to participate in training at TAOSAD, I am agreeing to the TAOSAD Waiver of Liability and Release.
